  • What causes conflict?
Venezuelea- The conflict in Venezuelea is that it might go into a civil war with Colombia. This conflict was started because of a harsh exchange of accusations between Presidents Alvaro Uribe and Hugo Chavez.

Brazil-
While avoiding open conflict, Brazilian society has gone through transitions that in general have moved in the direction of modernization and democracy. Considering the decimation of Indian populations and the maintenance of African slavery long after it had been abolished elsewhere in the Americas, Brazil's colonial and imperial history was characterized by violence.

  • Does power corrupt?
Venezuela- In the 19th and 20th centuries, the level of corruption fluctuated, depending on the government in power. During the government of President Hugo Chávez, however, corruption has exploded to unprecedented levels. Billions of dollars are being stolen or are otherwise unaccounted for, squandering Venezuelan resources and enriching high-level officials and their cronies.

Brazil- Corruption has long been an unfortunate characteristic of Brazil and a concern of international business people and investors. With the most prominent forms appearing in the country’s political system, the most recent scandal that attracted global attention was that of Federal District governor, José Roberto Arruda, being caught handing bags of money to his legislator allies.


  • How do the conflict change the life of the people in Brazil?
Brazil- The way that the conflict in Brazil changes the life of the people that live there is because it was characterized as violence and Brazils society was moving towards modernization so the people had to change there lives to the changes of the society.
